The Northcoast early bird comp play has gone 8 winners and 1 loss (88.8888%, or 89%) this season - which is better than their 5 star oicks. Does that mean it is due to lose? Not necessarly, according to probability theory, which would say that any pick is 50% probable (in the absence of a proven formula to beat the odds).

Last week was Tulsa, which won, and this week is Tulsa again, plus points, against Rice.

I have followed these comp plays but never liked them enough to play them, which perhaps is a recommendation to play them. I don't think much of Tulsa, did not play them last week, and probably won't play them this week. Perhaps again this is a reason to play Tulsa.

Personally I was looking at Rice merely from a line standpoint at this time. Tulsa is not a very good team at all and finally broke that losing streak against UTEP.

Where are you getting the comp play from Northcoast at? I would also say if they are 8-1 on comps then they are due to lower that win % through the rest of the comp plays for college, because as anyone knows when you hit at a high percentage like that its usually only good for a while then a cold streak hits.

I agree with your comments - seems due to lose.

It has gone 71% over the last 6 years, however.

It is called the early bird play.

I get the play every Monday after 12:30 P.M. (est) by calling

1-800-475-8168 (number is the N.C. comp play line, but you may

get a busy signal which means you have to dial a local number

from certain big cities. The 800 number is good if you are

outside the area of those big cities, like I am.

Art,

Have you kept track of that comp record for the last 6 years or is that was northcoast claims? Also have they called you up on the phone since they would have gotten your number since its an 800 number.

They are legit, I have heard all of them this year.

Their local DC number is 202-728-7542

They are a football only service.

4breakout,

They actually own a bunch of different services under different names. The 6 year claim seems hard to believe though.

Its a three year claim and he said something like 27-9 on his free monday early bird play. He doesn't even charge for it, call up and get it for free. 202-728-7542 <br />
He went 3-0 sunday, according to...

I have not followed the Northcoast early bird comp play given out Monday after 12:30PM (est) or so. The 71% figure over the last six years was taken from last week's issue of Powersweep sheet, but I trust Northcoast.

I have followed it this year and the eight wins and one loss is valid.

Phil Steele is highly respected. His underdog play of the week, in the weekly Powersweep is quite good also. Last week it was West Virginia against Miami. This play has hit 64% over the last 6 years (69% last year), according to Powersweep.

As a powersweep subscriber, they have all my info, and have had for many years. They have never called me once - that is not the way they work.

Thanks for the tracking report - hope it is accurate.

Also hope whoever sent it in will update it, to include last week-end's results, and send it in again.
